Sound Energy in Westford

  • Westford Parish for the Arts 10 Lincoln Avenue Westford, MA, 01886 United States (map)

Sound Energy is a dynamic, Boston-based string trio committed to exploring new sounds, new collaborations, and new music. Established in 2013, Sound Energy members Micah Brightwell (violin), Samuel Kelder (viola) and Benjamin Swartz (cello) are constantly searching for ways to push the traditional violin-violacello combination to represent the bold, daring voices of 20th- and 21st-century composers. With a repertoire spanning Anton Webern to Andrew Norman, Sound Energy stands at the forefront of a new generation in contemporary music with ambitious upcoming projects including tours, residencies, and large-scale commissions—all in a continued effort to explore the energy of sound.
